We often get asked if we do decor as well as design. The answer is… it depends. We do now handle decor (furniture, art, rugs, drapery, etc) when it is part of a larger renovation or new home project, but not decor in isolation. This project is in a newer space that was a modern white/concrete box with good light but zero warmth. We renovated the kitchen/living room and sought out pieces that would add texture and coziness. Typically, when everything is brand new in a space, it can feel sterile and too heavy on the generic “showhome” vibes. Antiques don’t always mean ornate, if that’s not your thing. Many people aren’t aware that antiques can be modern or traditional. Even if they are from the 70’s or 80’s (that’s not old, right?😜) they can do a lot to add a sense of history to the space. We work closely with local dealers to source the right pieces for the right space and the right homeowner. Just like with art, it makes a space unique, interesting, and highly personal. Shout out to @shoestringpicker and @kalbarteski for allowing us to add their creative talents to this home.
