Building a whole second floor on top of an attached double garage is a wonderful design opportunity to go light and bright. In this Charleswood home, we created a calming bedroom and ensuite with a balcony and views into the trees and the river, with soaring ceilings and abundant daylight. Our palette of natural cherry wood and white oak combined with Venetian plaster, chunky New Zealand wool carpeting, and vein cut stone are all chosen to either add texture or catch the light.
